While the past month has been rather full on for the Mudgee Triathlon Club, it didn't stop them from achieving highly commendable placings on the weekend.

The Devils made the trip to Orange on February 16 to compete in the fourth installment of the Central West Interclub Series.
While the format had been altered to be a duathlon dropping the swim due to safety concerns, Mudgee Triathlon Club secretary Giselle Denley says despite the challenge, the change ultimately favoured some.
"The run, ride, run format favoured Mudgee's strong cyclists many of which ride regular Saturday brunch rides," she said.
"Pacing was also a critical part of the event, you had to leave enough petrol in the tank to be able to get off the bike and run the final 4.4 kilometre leg at a competitive pace."
The club had three juniors, Halle Potter, Beau Rohr and Riley Taylor compete in the shorter Super Sprint race which was taken out by Rohr followed by Orange's Sophie Martin and Molly Dean, while Taylor was the second placed male.
Meanwhile, Matt Webster earned a podium spot taking out third overall, followed by Greg Atkinson and Adam Mort to round out the top three Mudgee male competitors.
Giselle Denley was the first to cross the line for the red and black outfit taking fourth overall, followed by Sian Potter and Ronda Gainsford.
"It was great to see Mudgee on the podium with Beau and Riley in the Super Sprint and Matt Webster on the Sprint," Denley said.
There was a strong turn up of Mudgee Devils considering it was our third Interclub race in four weeks and we had many first place finishes in the age group divisions earning us valuable points.

Denley is confident the Devils can hold on to finish the Series second on the ladder but stresses the importance of numbers on the final day at Cowra.
"Mudgee Devils will continue to keep fit leading up to the final installment on March 22 with two local Mudgee club meets on February 23 and March 15 and regular group ride and run training," she said.
"I expect we will have a strong showing from Mudgee at Cowra and many top placing in each age group on the day. The key is to attract members across all of the age groups."
