Amongst the usual planning and the working bee, the Gulgong Show Society have hosted several how to workshops.
This included the Inaugural Gulgong Showgirl Luncheon hosted by Louise Butlin and six cake decorating workshops run by the talented Carol Medcalf for both adults and children.
These cake decorating workshops were filled to capacity as the community quickly demonstrated they were very eager to learn new skills.
With this strong community interest, the Gulgong Show Society do plan to host more cake workshops and others like jam making and floral arrangements throughout the year.
If you have a skill you wish to share with the community, please contact the Gulgong Show Society and they would be excited to work with you to provide more learning opportunities for the community.
Not only are these workshops a great opportunity to learn.
They have been a positive way to bring people together and are a way for the Gulgong Show community to be connected throughout the year not just at Show time whilst giving a fun and social reason to connect too!
Also making news:
The Gulgong Show membership continues to grow as the Gulgong Show Society now has over 280 members with 20 new members so far this year.
There are many benefits to becoming a member especially for families. An adult pays only $10 for their membership which includes free entry, Show book and their children under 16 years free entry.
It is as simple as visiting the Show Society's website www.gulgongshow.org.au to complete the form and payments can be made online or in person Show week at the Secretary's office.
Junior memberships are only $3 and are a great way encourage our younger members of the community to get involved with and support the Gulgong Show.
Junior memberships are for children 15 years and under.
This entitles them to free entry and a Show book.
Even if you are unable to attend the Show this year, by becoming a member your financial support assists the Gulgong Show Society to continue to provide the community with a fun filled family orientated event each year.
