Ariana, while being a novocastrian through and through, has so far loved her three weeks in the job and month living in Mudgee.
"I love it...while Mudgee is a smaller town than I'm used to. I love it. And I knew that I would," she said.
"In Newcastle where I grew up...it was half an hour from the city but I grew up surrounded by the bush, so being in a small town didn't matter to me.
Also making news:
"I'm quite surprised with myself how well I've settled in and how quickly and how comfortable I feel. Going to a place and not knowing anybody is quite scary. But as soon as I came here, I went to some of the stores - If I could say anything about moving to Mudgee it's how welcoming the place is.
"You don't have to talk to anybody and you feel like you're welcomed somewhere and that's been my experience here so far. I've only been here for a month, so, that in itself just makes me feel at peace, so that's what I can say about Mudgee so far is that it's peaceful."
Ariana succeeds Andrew Andrews who left the station late last year.
Ariana can be heard on 93.1 Real FM's morning breakfast show from 6-9 am every weekday.
