During this artist-led printmaking workshop you'll learn how to create a stunning portfolio of vibrant colour solar plate etchings. Using a more contemporary (quicker, simpler and safer/non-toxic) approach to etching, this two-day class will leave you feeling inspired and able to create a solar plate, with remarkable results.
Using the sun and water instead of acids and solvents (as were used traditionally), the skills and knowledge acquired during this hands-on course will enable you to transform existing drawings, paintings and photos into imaginative fine art prints, which will be printed in a variety of colours onto state-of-the-art paper.
The workshop has been carefully curated to ensure the experience is a truly unique and immersive one, one that challenges convention and leaves you feeling inspired to push yourself creatively.
