The library will be closed on Saturday, 14 March and reopening on Monday, 23 March. As part of the works, Council says the Mudgee Town Hall will also be temporarily unavailable for this period.
The upper levels of the library have been painted in recent weeks without interruption to users, however the lower level must be vacated as access to resources and services will become unavailable.

Council's Manager Library Services, Michelle Maunder said the interruption has been reduced to an absolute minimum.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our users but unfortunately this maintenance is essential," Ms Maunder said.
"There will be no late fees charged during this period, if you have an item due for return that week simply hold onto it and return it the following week."
Children's programing at Mudgee Library will not be available for the closure period, however programs continue at Kandos and Gulgong libraries.
