With a queue out the door, the players signed a variety of items including t-shirts, bottles and hats while receiving pleasantries from their fans.
In addition, a cheque presentation of $100,000 before the game was made from the St George Leagues Club to St George Foundation CEO, Vanessa Barry, with the previous recipient of the St George Footy Grant, the Dunedoo Junior NRL team in attendance, partaking in the guard of honour.
The 37th annual Westfund Charity Shield clash was held on February 29 at Glen Willow Stadium where the South Sydney Rabbitohs claimed a 26-12 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons.
