Wilpinjong Mine has no confirmed cases of COVID-19/Coronavirus.
A spokesperson from Peabody Energy shot down rumours in a statement to the Mudgee Guardian.
"There is no confirmed case of coronavirus at Wilpinjong Mine," the spokesperson said.
"We are closely monitoring developments related to the virus and, as health and safety is a way of life at Peabody, our first priority is to protect the wellbeing of our people.
"Local management and response plans are being activated in accordance with company protocols and ongoing advice from government health authorities."
Glencore also confirmed there are no cases but said it continues to monitor any new developments.
"Glencore has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 across its Australian coal operations," a spokesperson said.
"At all our operations, including Ulan Coal, we are closely watching developments relating to COVID-19 and our key priority is to protect the health and well-being of our employees.
"We are progressing local response plans in accordance with our company protocols and ongoing advice from Federal and State Government Health authorities.
"These include detailed Infectious Disease Response Plans and Incident Management Plans.
"At both global and local levels, Glencore has also engaged specialist external medical expertise to guide our planning and, if needed, response measures.
"We will continue to support our employees, provide further updates on COVID-19 to our workforce and implement our local response plans."

Those are the words of a Western NSW Local Health District spokesperson on Sunday, who reiterated that there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 or Coronavirus in the region.
The Mudgee Guardian has fielded many tip-offs from residents that have heard someone in the Mudgee region has tested positive for COVID-19 and while we explore every lead, none has proven to be true.
When the Mudgee Guardian called Mudgee Hospital, a Registered Nurse that took the call said they were unable to make any comment on any matter that occurs in the hospital.

People are being tested across Australia for suspected symptoms or just to be safe including people from the Mudgee region but this does not indicate a confirmed case.
On Friday Western NSW Local Health District confirmed the positive cases in Orange, saying fever clinics were being established at Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo with plans being activated at all facilities to cater for changes in demand.
However, to maintain privacy and confidentiality, Western NSW Local Health District said the locations of confirmed COVID-19 cases were not being made public as a matter of course.
Anyone with concerns about COVID-19 can contact healthdirect on 1800 022 222 and speak to a registered nurse to discuss their symptoms.
Anyone intending to go to their doctor or a hospital emergency department with concerns about COVID-19 should call in advance.
Cancellations due to coronavirus fears
This weekend's upcoming Can Cruise event in Mudgee has been cancelled with organisers hoping to run a smaller event later in the year.
This weekend's Relay for Life has been cancelled in Orange, the upcoming Lambing Flat Chinese Festival is also canned, but the Bathurst Cycling Classic will still go ahead this weekend.
Group 10 is facing the "real possibility" its season may be impacted by the coronavirus.
Nationally, this weekend's Grand Prix in Melbourne has been cancelled, the AFL is considering its next steps, and Virgin Australia have slashed services.
