In her first game back since locking her knee in May last year, Jessica Salomoni said the trial was for the team to get a feel on the ball before the season starts.
"[It was] good for us to get a game in before the start of the season," Jessica said.
"We had patches of moments where we were good but I think we are still trying to work out positions and fitness also played a role in our game style. But first game back together I think we did really well. We played four 20-minute quarters. And we were up 1 - 0 with a goal from Steph Bartlett in the first 20 minutes and held that I'm pretty sure until half time.
"They got two goals on us to lead but we evened it up with a goal from me in the third quarter. But thy then got on top in the last half scoring another 2 goals on is making the end score 4-2.
"It was good getting to know how we all play together again and working out positions. Fitness will be our focus leading up to the start of the season."
The Mudgee Guardian's photographer, Simone Kurtz was there to capture all of the action of the day.
The Mudgee Wolves season will commence on May 2.
