Mudgee Honey Haven, celebrating 20 years this year with its current owners, is running a 'bee boxes' promotion in conjunction with the region's school and businesses and they're hoping for your help to select a winner.
Honey Haven reached out to the region's schools to participate and students jazzed up a collection of 'bee boxes' which will be placed around the mini golf course at the honey producer's headquarters on the Hill End Road.
Honey Haven have brought local businesses on as sponsors for the holes too.

The school with the winning bee box will get a tub of Mudgee Honey packaged with the school's name on the label which they are able to sell at their own price to raise funds. The box will also get pride of place at the first hole.
An originally planned gala day for May at the Honey Haven has been cancelled thanks to COVID-19, but a new date will be announced in the future.
"That's given for free so they can put any price on it to make sure that they can make some money. And then every school - is going to get a little 40 gram jar with the kids names on it who participated because [owner Frank Maiolo] wants everybody to get a prize. So every school is going to get their own honey regardless, but the winning school will get a $350 honey pack," Honey Haven PR Manager Brigitte Tindall said.
Brigitte said Honey Haven staff know how important it is to bring a bit of positivity and education back to the community following the drought.
"With the drought and everything, schools have been hit the hardest," she said.
"We see it on on adults faces and yes, we see it on the farmers faces, but we're bringing joy and excitement back to children as well. Because they do get hit hard and swept under the rug, you know, they'll be okay because we talk to them about it."
"We haven't just stuck to Mudgee, we've got Ulan we've got Hill End and all those public schools involved. So we're branching out. I guess, on the back of the Mudgee, tourism [campaign] 'Feel the Love', we're branching out to other businesses. We're making promotions where we're doing what we can in that regard."
The boxes will be showcased at the Honey Haven and the winner will be notified on Monday, April 27.
