Understandably, many people assumed the Mudgee Guardian was also affected, considering it was around this time that we did not publish a Good Friday edition and skipped the following Friday...confusing.
I wanted to reach out, not only to make sure you're all doing okay in this weird time but to let you know that the Mudgee Guardian was not affected by these changes and editorial staff remain employed full-time and we will continue to publish a print newspaper twice a week and bring you local and national news 7 days a week.
It's a tough time for the media right now, and I'm sure the irony isn't lost on you that while the media is as busy as ever covering COVID-19 as well as regular news that the appetite for accurate information is as strong as ever.
But, businesses around the world are feeling the sting that this pandemic has caused they're having to adapt, scale back or close and that means advertising budgets too.
Thankfully, the Mudgee Guardian has a great subscriber community that support us and allow us to continue to bring the news to the Mudgee region the same way we have since 1890, more than 130 years ago.
I hope as you read this you're doing well, are self-isolating when you can and are getting plenty of fresh air.
Thank you, and stay safe.
