Police officers in Mudgee received a report of an illegal hunting and trespassing incident at a property on Gorries Lane in Gooma, midway between Gulgong and Wellington.
The incident occurred in the early hours of April 26 and the landholder reported hearing gunshots and then sighting a vehicle described only as a large four-wheel drive on his property.
Police have called on anyone with information about this incident to contact Mudgee Police Station on 6372 8599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The public is reminded that if you detect anyone trespassing on your property that you should report it to the police immediately on by calling triple-0.
