Peter Michael Potts of Ridge Road, was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim for the amount of $1,000.
At about 4.30pm on Thursday, Oactober 31, 2019, the victim was visiting a friend at a neighbouring property and was flying the drone to look at dam levels. Potts noticed it flying about 27m off the ground.
He has then used his 12-gauge shotgun to shoot at the drone twice and destroy it. The victim read on the display 'drone disabled'.
When they went to Potts's house to retrieve it, he was standing outside and said, "you're not going to be flying these f***ing things around my f***ing property".
At about 5.50pm he called police and informed them of his actions.
The gun was registered, but he was charged with its unauthorised use.
