Council accept tender for Gallery, but will have to fund an additional $2.5 million

The project will convert the former Cudgegong Council Chambers and grounds at 90 Market Street, Mudgee, into an art gallery and the new location for the tourist information centre that's outgrown its current premises.

Council voted to accept a tender for the regional Art Gallery and Tourism Information Centre project, however the requirement to fund an additional $2.5 million, prompted lengthy debate at the May meeting.
