During this stage, libraries are open for returns and borrowing only, with faxing, scanning, printing and copying (up to 10 pages only) available on request. All visitors will be asked to use the provided hand sanitiser before entering.
Public PCs, bathroom facilities, meeting rooms, face-to-face programs, events, study areas and extended visits will remain unavailable until it is safe to resume these activities.
Mudgee Library is open 10am-5pm, Monday to Friday; while Gulgong and Kandos Libraries are open their usual Monday to Friday hours; Rylstone Customer Service Centre and Library is undergoing a refurbishment and is expected to open in coming weeks.
Saturday openings have ceased until further notice. For the safety of our community and staff, all returned items will also be quarantined and sanitised before they're available for borrowing again.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page or website for all the latest news and updates.

Snowman season
All our registered Bookworm and Toddler Time attendees have recently been posted a kit to make their very own snowman at home.

The History Effect
The History Council of NSW has curated a series of online presentations called The History Effect, featuring historians speaking about contemporary issues and events, as well as research and professional development.
The most recent presentations are 'Spanish Flu - a mini-series of historians presenting histories of the Spanish Flu in Australia' and 'The Uluru Statement from the Heart: why and how truth-telling about our history matters'. The series can be viewed for free at historycouncilnsw.org.au/project/history-effect/.
Book Bouncers Teen Book Club, Kandos Edition
Young adult readers in Kandos might be interested in this new monthly program that the Youth Services and Library teams are launching in July.
Bounce around books and ideas with other teen readers while you meet to discuss a monthly Young Adult read, as well as other titles you've been reading lately.
At our first meeting at Kandos Library on Monday, July 20, 3.45-4.45pm, we will be discussing our favourite school holiday read. Bookings essential, head on over to mwrcyouth.eventbrite.com.
Happy reading, until the next chapter...
