James Ronald Hine of Lions Drive, Mudgee, was fined $1,000 and sentenced to a two-year Community Corrections Order with rehabilitation, in Mudgee Local Court.
On Saturday, April 11, 2020, after an argument with the victim, the 34-year-old later called her and said "I can't wait to f***ing bash you".
He continued to call and message the victim, which she initially ignored. Many of the latter were derogatory in nature and some said "you can't stop me".

The victim reported the matter to police and when Hine was arrested, officers noted that he said "oh, she is going to get it". With the facts submitted to court for sentence also indicating that he was aggressive with police.
Magistrate Alexander Mijovich told the defendant - who represented himself in court - "you've got a record for these kind of offences". And added, "you have no insight into your behaviour".
"In 2014 you were offered the opportunity to serve a [suspended] sentence in the community and here you are again for the same thing," he continued.
Hine said that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident and told the court that he has issues with alcohol.
However, Magistrate Mijovich told him, "if you want to drink to that extent, that's your decision, what I'm concerned with is how you then treat your partners".
