Long a mainstay of Market Street, the long-unused former petrol station and mechanical workshop next door to the Courthouse Hotel is for sale.
The 113 Market Street address has for the first time in a while been offered for sale. According to data online, the building last changed hands eight years ago in 2012.
"113 Market street was formerly known as West Side Service Station and has always attracted strong interest. Larger than it appears, the deceptive frontage actually hides a large office and shop space as well as a kitchenette and bathroom. The size of the lot is about 791 sqm according to the listing on the Property Shop website.
Photos online show a building frozen in time, with a chalkboard menu still in perfect condition advertising local honey, pies and sausage rolls and a counter with a shelf selling gum still intact.
An auction for the property will be held on Friday, August 7 at 10am if it isn't sold prior.
