While fitness was "a bit of an issue" in their first derby, first grade captain Tom Dunstan says with uncertainty for community sport still circling in regards to COVID-19, they're giving each game their all.
"We are playing every game like it's our last because we don't know what the future holds for community rugby, but this means we are definitely having a lot of fun playing," he said.
"We had 37 scrums in the game last weekend so it was definitely taken to the extreme.
"The aim for the season is definitely to be in the grand final and to come away with the premiership."
While arguably going up against the competition's most fierce side, the Narromine Gorillas, Dunstan is confident that if everything goes to plan, they might just get the job done.
"Narromine have been the team to beat for the last two years, and they only just went down in the final last year so they will definitely be out to prove a point," he said.
I think it will definitely be a tough game but if we play our game, we should take it to them.

This year the first grade side have some new additions, including Oscar Faulkner who proved his worth, scoring two tries and being named player's player against Parkes.
"Everyone has been getting along really well, and the new guys have fitted in seamlessly which is amazing for how much time we have had to prepare. I'm excited to see how they progress through the season," Dunstan said.
The Mudgee Wombats first home ground games at Jubilee Oval on Saturday, July 25 will include:
- 9:20am - U12s v Orange Emu Green
- 10:40am - U14s v Orange Emu Green
- 11:50am - U16s v Forbes Platypi
- 1:00pm - Women v Wellington Red Backs
- 1:55pm - 2nd Grade v Narromine Gorillas
- 3:15pm - 1st Grade v Narromine Gorillas
"People are welcome to come to the game but we do have to follow strict social distancing guidelines for the crowds," Dunstan said.
