In an interview last week, Batties first grade captain Tom Dunstan said while he knew the game was tough, his squad was prepared to do what was necessary.
And, do they did with tries from Dunstan (3), Corin Smith (1) and David Birch (1).
"It was definitely a tougher game than last week against Parkes, we were in our half defending for three quarters of the game," he said.
The strongest part of our game was our commitment in defence, at one point we were down to 13 men and Narromine still couldn't score.

"Our defence is definitely what got us the win."
Although an impressive result, considering the reputation the Gorillas behold in the New Holland Cup competition, Dunstan said there's still room to improve.
"We definitely need to work on our discipline, we gave away far too many penalties," he said.
"Hopefully we don't let up and can keep building each week and stay on top of the table."
The Wombats have a bye this weekend, but will clash with the Dubbo Rhinos for round four of the competition on August 8.
