For this past week, we have been guests if the wonderful town of Mudgee.
We came as a group of 5 to inject a couple of grand back into the local economy and hopefully do our bit to help you guys get back on your feet.
Despite no cases of the virus in town we were blown away with the level of vigilance shown by all bar one outlet in town.
The wineries were AMAZING with the way they controlled the crowds, tastings, walk ins and those they had booked.
All were brilliant to a tee.
The RESPECT the staff were treating their careers, their own health and safety, their bosses business, their employment, the customers and the serious nature of the virus was darn brilliant.
Sadly one outlet dropped the ball badly.
One pub needs a good kick up the pants.
No meet and greet at the door. No PROFESSIONAL distance stickers on the entry,
No table booking, staff cleaning 5 tables with one cloth .... and then the floor and no sanitiser, and feeding themselves as they did the job.
Customers cleaning their own table.
This could easily become the Cross Roads Hotel of the west.
I was so annoyed that 99 per cent of businesses in town were so darn brilliant.
Loved our stay. Won't let these clowns ruin our opinion of the town.
Will be back again next year!
