The Merry Mamzelles - Mudgee Red Hatters have enjoyed the freedom of rule changes allowing them to once again visit public venues, having gradually stepped up as restrictions eased over recent months - including with a few mini morning teas at members' homes.
COVID-19 lockdown had given the group a heightened appreciation of friendship and fun - along with the opportunity to find creative ways of ensuring that they support each other and keep in contact.
But since the easing of restrictions they have recommenced visiting venues in Mudgee and Gulgong, with the aim of helping to provide a boost to the local economy as it moves forward on its recovery.
They've decided masked morning teas are a way of enjoying themselves, as well as doing their bit to emphasise how important it is to not only keep themselves safe but also support the local communities within the region as well.
If you are you a lady aged 50 or over, living within the Mudgee region and would like to join a social support group of like-minded women who wear purple with red hats and have a focus on fun, friendship, frivolity and celebrate the freedom of ageing - then maybe The Merry Mamzelles - Mudgee's Red Hatters is for you.
