Despite the Wombats going in as the underdogs, their efforts are a testament to the squad's abilities, regardless of who scored what and just how many.

To open the game, Chantel Burgess found the try line just under five minutes into the first half.

CSU replied seven minutes later, followed by a successful conversion.

The visitors managed to extend their lead 14 minutes in to 14-5 until the Wombats got in with five once again which was followed up by a successful kick off the boot.

However, the students had their way for the majority of the game and despite a final try from Burgess at the 34 minute mark, CSU walked off winners with a 29-17 result.
