Expect a new entry every Friday afternoon to cap off your week and practice a bit of self-care.

Thank you to the lovely person that put this on my windscreen today in the big w parking lot. I got my dad to check it for me, pumped it back up and so far so good. Thank you!

Thank you to the SES and police for coming out to try and help free a red rumped parrot in a down drain pipe yesterday.
We really appreciated you coming out to do all you could to help a concerned member of the public and a bird in distress.
We think the bird managed to escape down the storm drain to the road. So although I (WIRES volunteer) didn't actually have a bird to physically rescue, it was heart warming to know there are good people in the community willing to help a native animal.
To the SES and Mudgee Police thank you.
