According to the NRMA Weekly Petrol Report, the average prices of regular unleaded petrol and diesel in Mudgee have held steady across the last fortnight. The figure for ULP in the week ending October 25 was 122 cents per litre (0.2 down on the previous week), while the diesel average was identical to the previous period at 127.3c/l.
These put Mudgee around the middle for the Central West/West region for petrol, at 1.5c/l off the next cheapest in Orange. And among the dearer locations for diesel, over 5c/l more than Forbes.

In a year of fluctuations, last week's local ULP average is around 10c/l more than its April low, when demand was driven down by lockdowns and travel restrictions to combat COVID-19. It's also 30c/l better than its pre-pandemic peak in February.
That early 2020 spike saw Mudgee record the dearest average diesel price in the Central West/West region and the fifth highest in the state. Last week's figure though is 29.3c/l below that peak, which seems like a lifetime ago.
For Regional NSW as a whole, last week average regular unleaded prices fell 0.1c/l, while average diesel prices fell 0.2c/l. Which have been typical of the weeks heading to the end of October.
