A 37-year-old man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery at a Dubbo petrol station on Tuesday night.

The man was armed with a knife when he entered the service station on Whylandra Street at roughly 7.10pm.
He allegedly threatened the attendant and demanded cash cash before fleeing the scene on foot towards Alam Street.
Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Bultje Street and arrested a 37-year-old man.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The man was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
