Henbury Sports and Recreation Club have installed a new main switchboard as a result of a $8,360 grant provided by the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership fund.

Due to the existing power board no longer adequate to meet the future needs of the club, the switchboard was needed.
Manager of the Henbury Club, Barbara Babbage, says the installation of the new switchboard has been immensely helpful for many of the daily jobs and requirements completed at the club.
"The old switchboard didn't allow for majority of new electrical work to be done, and now we are able to do it with ease," Barbara said.
"We were able to finally install new ducted air conditioning and also are now able to run electrical devices from the switchboard itself and not having to rely on other outlets."
As well as this grant, Henbury also previously received funding of $20,000 from the NSW Government for the purchase of a new fairways mower, and an additional $10,647 to give the club house a spruce-up.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said the club is at the heart of the community and is a place many residents visit on a regular basis.
"The club is a treasure in itself, and is a facility the residents are justifiably proud of with it being operated by hard-working local volunteers," Mr Toole said.
"Keeping the club up to standard is important to ensure that local and also out of town visitors continue to come and use the facilities with a new switchboard being crucial for the continued running of the premises."
