From the CBD to the industrial areas, the Skillset teams were out in force to raise awareness of the need to support employment, skills and education in regional NSW.
In a challenging year for many Australians, Skillset are determined to focus on the future, support local businesses and the community by guiding the skills development of individuals and fostering the needs of businesses and organisations that employ them.
The SkillForce campaign began as SkillForce360 in 2018 and after its success, Skillset boosted the target to 500 people in 2019/20.
In its second year, Skillset launched SkillForce500 to focus on developing skilled individuals that contribute to the productivity of the region's businesses and supporting the future prosperity of local communities.
The campaign also aims to increase employment opportunities through offering mentoring programs, recruitment services and job pathway programs while also raising awareness of trade careers in schools among many other skills solutions Skillset provide.
Since the launch of SkillForce500 in October 2020, Skillset has engaged and placed over 100 people so far across the Central West and Far West Orana region's, with the goal of reaching 500 placements by March 31, 2021.
"Skillset are consistently striving to develop opportunities to support every stage of the career life cycle," Skillset General Manager, Jane McWilliam said.
