Signature Properties Mudgee's Edwina Smith has been named a finalist in the Property Manager of the Year - Regional.
"I am delighted to be nominated for the 2020 REB Women in Real Estate Property Manager of the Year (Regional) award," Edwina said.
"These awards recognise leading women across all sectors of the real estate industry nationwide so it's fantastic to be acknowledged among Australia's best female property managers.
"This year has been particularly challenging for many business women, so to be recognised for our agency's hard work, dedication and exemplary service in such a tough climate is a real testament to our business and our drive to keep delivering for our clients."
"The awards are great for women, and it's nice to have a couple of us local ladies in the running," Mandy said.
"I think it gives much needed recognition. It also helps us move forward in the industry. It's really nice for all involved."
Joining Edwina with her own nomination, five years after stepping into the real estate industry, First National Mudgee's Mandy Blackman was listed as a finalist in the 2020 REB Women in Real Estate Awards.
Much to her surprise, Mandy is one of 10 women who are in the running for the Office Administrator of the Year, and is also the only contender from the Central West listed in that specific category.
First National colleague Felicity Smith nominated Mandy, who said she had no idea that her name had been put forward.
"It was fantastic, Felicity nominated me which was really nice. They told me I'm a finalist which blew me away," she said.
"I was very surprised actually. I didn't think I would make it this far. You had to answer certain questions by a video submission, my husband's wonderful videoing skills helped.
"I've never been awarded for anything like this, it's really nice actually."
The Awards will be announced on December 11, 2020 by a virtual ceremony at 6pm.
