Guy Pascoe started out by coaching opens girls for the first two years of Mudgee Dragons in the Western Women's Rugby League competitions and running most of the coaches and managers with them, he lead the way from the very start.
After the second year, we had four teams playing under Mudgee Dragons but a lot of our girls came from Gulgong, Kandos and surrounding areas so we weren't just Mudgee. This is where Guy took a massive step in a new direction for the whole of women in footy for the Mid-West region, founding the Midwest Brumbies at the start of this year.
He took the time and effort away from his own life to start the Brumbies up. He spent lots of time finding sponsors, coaches managers, players all while coaching the opens again in the one year.
It is a massive effort and quite an achievement.
He has been a massive part in making the Midwest Brumbies take flight and become the club it is. He has gone above and beyond to make the opportunity for women in our area to be apart of rugby league.
Being a part of the club working alongside Guy has been an awesome experience and I must say, he has done a bloody good job and will continue to do so in the future.
