To improve traffic movements and pedestrian safety around the new Mudgee Hospital and Mudgee Medical Centre, Council plans to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Church and Meares streets.
Council says in addition to the roundabout, a pedestrian refuge will be constructed on Church Street outside Mudgee Medical Centre to improve pedestrian safety.
Residents in the affected areas will also be contacted in writing.
Two parking spaces will be removed to accommodate the new refuge, however new parking will be available on-site at Mudgee Hospital via Meares Street.
Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal via yoursay.midwestern.nsw.gov.au
Residents of Meares and Church streets in the affected areas will also be contacted in writing.
Construction of the roundabout and pedestrian refuge is expected to commence in February 2021 and be completed mid-year.
Feedback is now open at yoursay.midwestern.nsw.gov.au and closes 4.30pm Friday, 5 February.
