A man has been charged after drugs, cash and a firearm were seized during a vehicle stop in the state's Central West on January 3.

At approximately 3.30pm on Sunday, January 3, 2021, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District stopped a blue Ford Falcon on Madeira Road, Mudgee, for the purpose of random testing.
The driver was subjected to a random drug test, returning a positive result.

After speaking with the driver, officers located and seized methylamphetamine, cannabis, cash and a gel blaster rifle.
The driver and two passengers, aged 17 and 18, were arrested and taken to Mudgee Police Station.
The driver provided a secondary test, which has been sent for further testing.
The 17-year-old boy will be given a caution for the possession of a gel blaster rifle.
The 18-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was given conditional bail to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
