The monthly Church Markets will be back at the grounds of St John's Anglican Church where produce, food, olive oil, textiles, arts and crafts, jewellery, pre-loved books, clothes, knick-knack stalls and more will be on display.

Town Hall Cinema movies
The Town Hall Cinema will screen two shows movies over the weekend - Spirit Untamed (G) and Dream Horse (PG).
Spirit Untamed will be showing on August 7 at 11am and 3pm as well as on August 8 at 11am.
Dream Horse will screen on August 6 at 7pm, August 7 at 7.30pm and August 8 at 4.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased online until 3pm on Friday 6 August via Council's website or from Rotary volunteers at the door 30 minutes before any scheduled screening.
Mudgee Day VIEW Club Christmas in August/Jeans for Genes Luncheon
Mudgee Day VIEW Club's Christmas in August & Jeans for Genes Luncheon Meeting, will be held at Club Mudgee, at 11.30 for 12.00 Friday, August 6.

Rylstone Community Markets
Rylstone - what's not to love?
Saturday, August 14 will feature the monthly Rylstone Community Markets.
Held at the Globe Hotel gardens, the event will commence at 10am with a COVID-Safe plan in place.

Kandos Rylstone Film Society presents...
The Dry will be screened at Kandos Community Hall on August 14 at 6pm.
You must become a member of the Kandos Rylstone Film Society to be allowed admittance to these events to ensure copyright requirements are met.
A film will be shown on the second Saturday of each month.
Your membership will cover the costs to all movies shown during the year. Costs to join the Film Society (subsidised by Mid Western Regional Council for the first year) will be: $15 initially and $30 each year thereafter for single membership and $30.00 initially and $50 each year thereafter for a family membership.

Lawson Park markets
The Lawson Park markets, held by the river in Lawson Park, will be on again this weekend showcasing a variety of stalls for everyone.
The markets are held every second Saturday of the month.

Cannoli making workshop
The Little Cooking School will be offering cannoli workshops where those in attendance will learn to make cannoli pastry, roll cannoli shells and fry them then fill with various sweet ricotta fillings and dressed with toppings.

Mudgee Readers' Festival
Returning on August 21 and 22, the Mudgee Readers' Festival will be 'packed to the rafters' with stories from popular authors, talks from creators, discussions and 'fabulous' wine pairings.
Information will be shared in the upcoming months regarding schedules.
The Mudgee Young Readers' Festival will take place on August 11 with trivia, talks, reading parties, and more.
Mudgee Disrict U3A 2021 AGM
All members are invited to the Mudgee District U3A 2021 Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday, August 28 from 10am to 12noon.

This two-day practical hands-on course will cover the essentials such as protective clothing, hive design, hive management, biosecurity, honey extraction and a whole lot more.

With a career in the apiary industry with NSW DPI and extensive knowledge of rural beekeeping, Bruce is a master at sharing his skills and experience with participants to give each of them the confidence to handle bees and manage a beehive.

Mudgee Small Farm Field Days
After a year off, the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days are coming up and tickets are now on sale.
The agricultural event will take place on November 5 and 6, 2021 at AREC. Gates will open from 8.30 am till 4:30pm each day. Tickets are online only this year due to COVID reporting requirements. Children 16 and under can enter for free but still need a ticket.

- CWA at Small Farm Field Days
The CWA Evening Branch will be at site C-10 for the Field Days serving freshly baked scones served with jam and cream. Eat in or take-a-way. Also homemade yummy goodies, CWA cookbook and tea will be available for sale. Pop in and say hello.
Events that take place on a regular basis
Mudgee Miniature Railway
Mudgee Miniature Railway will take to the tracks on the second Sunday of every month providing joy to those who attend.
The event is held on the corner of Ulan Road and Buckaroo Lane, Mudgee, with 45 minute sessions at $10 per person available.
Those taking a ride must wear enclosed shoes, and people attending must scan the QR code upon arrival and follow COVID safe practices.
Picnic tables available, canteen also in operation.

Knitting in the Library
Knitting in the Library is held the second Tuesday of each month.
We also promote 'Wrap with Love' and ask people to knit/crochet 10 inch squares.
We will meet in the meeting room on the second level of the Library from 10am to 4pm.
Morning tea will be provided.
Everyone is welcome, bring their knitting /crochet and join us for a short time or bring some lunch and spend the day.
Brett Niven Ceramics hosts a pottery class each Tuesday and Thursday night from 6pm at a fully working ceramic studio and shop located in the heart of Mudgee.

Mudgee District U3A
Mudgee District U3A is a voluntary, non-profit organization, which aims to offer low-cost, educational opportunities. All classes operate in a pleasant, supportive social setting.
Our website has the full list of classes. The classes are held during the day with no entry requirements or exams. Enrollment is still open for Terms 3 and 4.
Mudgee Museum have a working bee and morning tea every Tuesday, members invited. Locals are also encouraged to join the museum. There are many benefits aside from the weekly social aspect including fee entry to museum.
Hot Air Ballooning
Balloon Aloft meet those who wish to spend their Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday morning hot air ballooning from Parklands Resort.
The sunrise balloon flights are approximately one hour and are followed by a champagne breakfast.
