Police said at approximately 1.40pm on Tuesday, January 26 a Ford Territory was heading east along the western end of Market Street where it collided with a parked caravan.
The force of the collision sent the caravan to the opposite side of the road, causing damage and narrowly missing a residential fence.
The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old male, was taken to Mudgee Hospital for assessment.
Mudgee resident, Emily Roberts-Stewart who photographed the aftermath described the scene.
"The black car has come from behind and hit the caravan and it's propelled all the way across the street up into my front yard," she said. It sounded like a big clap of thunder."
An investigation into what caused the crash continues.
