Bathurst's emphatic victory came on the back of a century stand between Hugh Taylor (71) and Mac Hutchings (62) for the second wicket, which helped propel Bathurst to 9-232 at the end of their 50 overs.
Rain threatened to bring the game to an early end at the change of innings but it stayed away long enough for Bathurst to roll their opponents for just 46 runs in the space of 23 overs.
The undefeated Bathurst side now need just one win from their remaining games against Orange (this Sunday, away) and Dubbo (home, February 14) to lock in a home grand final.
Coach Greg Innes said the team put together a complete performance in testing conditions.
"The rain played a bit of havoc but we got through it alright and played pretty well. We took all our catches, had a couple of runouts and the boys were great in the field," he said.
"I reiterated to the boys not to take Mudgee lightly because you just don't know what can happen, especially on a wet wicket."
Sunday wasn't the first big partnership Taylor was involved in this season.
He joined forces with Connor Brown in the round two clash against Orange to put on 91 for the opening wicket.
Hutchings made the most of his jump up the order, impressing in his first appearance at the crease this season.
"They ran well and they batted sensibly," Innes said.
"The wicket was popping a little, but it wasn't doing a bit when we had first use of it. I must admit that a bit of water did get on it during the day, which helped us in the end, because we bowled fairly tight."
Taylor was the best of the bowlers with 3-16.
Blayde Burke took 2-12 while Mark Sheather (1-3), Charlie Rendall (1-4) and Cooper Stephen (1-5) were ultra-economical.
Meanwhile, the Bathurst under 12s scored a vital win in their clash against Mudgee at Brooke Moore Oval.
The win sees Bathurst draw level in the battle for second spot with Dubbo.
