With bright, eager faces, kindergarten students around the Mudgee region had their first day of 'big school' this week, the first in a year many hope is less disrupted than the last which forced many families to school from home.
Some were eager, others where well and truly ready, but teachers and fellow students were met with some delightful new additions the their school communities.
The Mudgee Guardian went along to capture their first moments as 'big kids'.
