After recent steady rain, the Mudgee Golf Course looked great but, looking at the scores, it obviously played rather tough.

A reasonable field of 29 players, including 27 vets, tried hard but it was the non-vets who reigned supreme on the day.

Taking the vets' prizes were Barry Hadaway (33cb) from Greg Llewelyn (33) who were the best on what was a pretty low scoring day.

Barry showed his consistency by scoring on every hole and it was this consistency that was enough to edge out Greg who had a real "mixed bag" of a day with three wipes and four x three pointer holes.

MGC Ball winners were Mark, Shane, Barry, Greg, John, Ron, Ian, Cec, Kel, Bruce and David.
