Two people were airlifted to Westmead Hospital following a car accident on the Glen Davis Road, between Lithgow and Mudgee, on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services report the car left the road and collided with a tree, causing the tree to fall onto the vehicle.
The two occupants, a 55-year-old man and 50-year-old woman, escaped with relatively minor injuries.
The man was suffering back and hip pain and the woman a suspected broken foot. They were treated at the scene by paramedics, but were both airlifted to Westmead by the TOLL Ambulance Helicopter.
They were both reportedly in a stable condition.
