"We had such a bad year last year, COVID was a problem for us and we had some approval issues. We certainly had some hoops to jump through which took up most of the year," Mudgee Dirtbikes president, Jason Box said.
"There was a time when a lot of locals were worried we wouldn't be racing again.
"Last year was a challenge so it's nice to have most of our hurdles out of the road and be able to have a clear calendar of racing."
The club has recently gained full access to their AREC facility for the next five years, meaning just under 30 race meets can be held per year.
"It's pretty exciting for the club. We haven't really got any hurdles so it's full steam ahead," Box said.
The sport as a whole has taken a hit due to COVID so everyone is trying to rebuild, we're on the mend.

"The approval allows us to use the facility for racing up to 28 times a year which is more than we will use, we have a six-race competition calendar set plus two 'come and try' days."
Set to commence this Saturday, the club will be hosting the first 'come and try' day, providing the community with a chance to get a taste of what the sport is all about.
"It's a day for the general public who haven't been involved in motocross events before to have a look and see what it's all about," Box said.
"It can be a practice day for those who normally race, but anyone can just turn up and enter which is a good thing for the club.
"I'm hoping with the 'come and try' day, people will have a look at the track and see what we offer, and hopefully get more for our first competition day. You don't have to have a licence to race or membership."
Following on from this weekend, March 6 will be the first competitive day of racing for the club.
"The first one is always big, they're bigger than the rest of the rounds because everyone is excited to get going," Box said.
