The home team denied the Lithgow Workies a chance to get over the line during the first half of the May 15 game, leaving Jayden Brown, Jake Durrant and Harry Siejka to the scoring (20-10).
Despite the Workies' burst of momentum heading into the second half, the Dragons were superior, sending Nathan Orr for four off the back of a sprint from captain Jack Littlejohn.
Orr was back at it 10 minutes later with a sprint down the wing to push the Dragons' lead to 28-0, followed by a Siejka conversion.
Right on the 60 minute mark, Lithgow's Ben Glasson opened the scoring for the visitors, heading into the third quarter with 30-4.
Orr was unstoppable right up until the dying moments of the game claiming three more tries, accompanied by another from Brown, to finish off with a 50-4 victory.
Needless to say, Littlejohn was happy with the win but said, as always, there's some things that need improving.
"It was tough to start off with then we broke away with a few good tries, it was a good win in the end. The score didn't reflect how hard the game was," he said.
"It was good in matches, obviously we need a lot of improvement but we've had a few injuries and some issues going on, we're missing a few players but I'd put it down to that."
As for Workies' captain, Greg Alderson he's pleased with how his side performed.
"It was a tough game, they're a well structured side with a really good spine, we stuck strong but in the end, they were too good and fatigue got us in the end," he said.
"Our attitude is there but we need to work on competition and fitness in the middle, I'm really happy with the boy's performance in defence."
