Young people on the hunt for their first job will have a chance to meet and hear from local employers at a Youth Employment Expo that will be held on Wednesday, May 26.

Proudly hosted by Council, the expo is a chance for young people and their families to learn what opportunities are available with local businesses and their recruitment processes.
Local businesses participating in the event include Aquarius Car Wash, Bunnings, Coles, The Horatio Motel and McDonalds.
Following a short presentation by each of the businesses, young people and their families will have an opportunity to speak with employers one-on-one.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for high school students who are considering their first job and would like to understand what's out there and how they go about it," Mid-Western Regional Council's general manager, Brad Cam said.
"Council's Youth Services Team are continually developing activities and events (such as this) that create engagement and opportunities young people in our region."
The Local Youth Employment Expo will be held at 4.30pm on Wednesday, May 26 at Mudgee Town Hall Theatre.
The expo is designed for school aged and recently graduated school students aged 14-25 years and is not an adult-aged employment event.
RSVPs are essential due to restricted event numbers based on social distancing requirements.
