An ill-timed u-turn by an elderly driver has led to a truck rollover on Henry Lawson Drive last week.

According to police, shortly after 9.30am on Friday, 11 June 2021, an unladen rigid tipper truck was travelling west along Henry Lawson Drive, when a Mitsubishi SUV conducting a U-turn at the intersection of Drews Lane allegedly crossed into the oncoming lane.
It is alleged the driver of the truck, a 34-year-old man, took evasive action to avoid a collision, causing it to roll and come to rest upside down alongside the roadway.
Following the accident, emergency services attended and treated the truck driver who was then taken to Mudgee Hospital.
The driver of the SUV, a woman aged 84, was not injured during the incident.
Both drivers produced a negative roadside breath test.
The man was issued with an infringement notice for negligent driving.
The woman was issued with an infringement notice for begin U-turn without view of approaching traffic.
