Gulgong proved to be a little too strong for the Baradine Magpies at Baradine, winning 36 to 12 whilst at Trangie the hosts were unable to contain the free running Cobar Roosters and they went down 72 to 10.
The match of the round this Saturday will take place at Gulgong's Billy Dunn Oval, when the Terriers are at home to Coonabarabran.
Both teams currently sit on 12 competition points with a win by either side jumping them into outright fourth position on the competition ladder.
Coonamble and Trangie will clash at Coonamble in what could well be an entertaining affair, with both teams desperate for a win to move them away from the wooden spoon position.
The Baradine Magpies face the long road trip to Cobar and the daunting task of trying to upset the Roosters on their home turf at Tom Knight Oval.
Elsewhere, the Boronia Cup is now in the possession of the Dunedoo Swans after they won a spirited and entertaining clash against the Coonabarabran Unicorns in the feature match of round 10 of the Christie and Hood Castlereagh League last Saturday at Coonabarabran.
The Swans came away with a hard fought 34 to 28 victory, scoring six tries to five, to maintain their unbeaten status at the head of the competition table.
With the ball being swung around by both sides, it was to be the backs who were involved in most of the try scoring, with the Unicorns centre Josh Nixon notching up four in a dominant display whilst his Dunedoo opposites.
Dan Lane and Tyson Searle scored three and one respectively for the Swans.
The first grade game was preceded by a much anticipated league tag clash between the two clubs, with the Swannettes again emerging the victors between the two very competitive outfits, taking the game 14 to four.
