The club are currently waiting for guidance from Racing NSW, but a Mudgee Race Club spokesperson said restrictions will be adhered to regardless.
"At this stage, it will still be going ahead but we need to wait for Racing NSW to make any determinations," they said.
"Looking at the NSW restrictions, everybody is going to have to be wearing masks, and we're going to have to work out what numbers we can have inside with the one per four square metre rule."
The restrictions came into effect at 6pm on June 26, as announced by the NSW Premier and Health Minister, following 30 locally-acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday, all linked to the Bondi outbreak.
The restrictions are to be in place for at least two weeks with significant areas of the state to remain in lock down.
The race meet, slated for July 4 at the Mudgee Racecourse, will host all the usual racing attractions should it go ahead, including some of the region's best contenders as well as entertainment and Fashions on the Field.
Nominations for the meet are expected to be entered by Tuesday, with acceptances to be declared on Thursday.
The Mudgee Guardian will continue to post any updates, should they arise.
