The men's team have been eager to play Dubbo's West Side Panthers but the team has already forfeited twice this season.
Co-president Greg Reid said the problem for the other side was player numbers.
"It's in the back of our minds that we may have to forfeit because they've already told us they're looking for extra players," he said.
"They've only got about 18 players between two squads so it can be a bit tight."
If the game goes ahead, the men are keen to get out on the field after a few weeks' break.
"The men's team should do pretty well as long as they get on the field," Mr Reid said.
"There's been a couple of forfeits and bye games so they're pretty keen to get out there if they can."
Meanwhile, the women's team have a tough game ahead against the RSL 78's, a team currently second on the ladder.
"The RSL 78s have been bit of a juggernaut in the women's competition for the last 10 years and have even had a couple of players who represented Australia," Mr Reid said.
"It will be a hard fought game and if they get a win that will be a real upset because our girls are fifth on the ladder out of nine teams."
But Mr Reid said a win for the ladies was far from impossible, based on the team's last game against Dubbo.
"Last time we played the RSL 78's our girls had a close game where they were down 3-0 at half time and came to lose by just one goal," he said.
"Hopefully they can emulate that and get a close win in. Our girls will have a really good game, Latara Hammond has been a key player for the last couple of seasons and is a big goal scorer."
The women will be playing away in Dubbo on Sunday, July 11 at 9am while the men will play at home at 11am.
Anyone attending the games must follow guidelines including social distancing, wearing a mask and completing a COVID-Safe check in at one of the QR codes at the field.
