Noll will join legends Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Russell Morris and more as part of the Sunset Sounds music festival on Saturday, October 30.
While Raw is Noll's sixth album, it's his first fully acoustic track list.
He said the COVID lockdown provided a perfect time to work on the album.
"The album idea has been on the boil for a little while and instead of touring we were able to get into studio and re-record some of the songs and put them into the acoustics format we've played live over the years," Noll said.
"Everybody at some stage in their life does an acoustic album and I was four or five albums in and thought the time was right.
"It's totally different sound to the fully produced, full band albums, and it's much more intimate which I love."
The album features old and new songs, as well as acoustic covers of Aussie favourites "Better Be Home Soon" and "Never Tear Us Apart".
It also provided an opportunity for Noll to finally release the first song he ever wrote about a friend from his hometown.
"I've been trying to find a home for that song for a long time, for years and years and I wondered why I hadn't put it on the first album which I probably should have," Noll said.
"To have it finally get on an album now I'm over the moon and really proud. I've had so much feedback from a lot of people from my hometown, who knew the person the song is about.
"Her sister also messaged me to say how proud her family were of the song and thanked me for remembering such a special soul who is missed every day."
As for what to expect from Sunset Sounds, Noll said the audience would know nearly all the songs played on the day.
"It's just all about memories and there will be songs you heard over the years and grew up on or still listen to," he said.
"It's a really great opportunity to reminisce and sing along to a lot of songs mostly everybody knows.
"I absolutely love Mudgee, I think it's a magnificent, gorgeous place and I'm really keen to get out there."
Sunset Sounds will be held at Craigmoor Wines on Saturday, October 30.
