Investigations into a Mudgee house fire are underway as crews work to determine the cause of the blaze.
At approximately 12.30pm on Friday, August 6, emergency services from Mudgee and surrounding areas were called to the Gladstone Street residence following reports of a house fire.
The Mudgee Guardian have been informed that a quick-thinking neighbour ran to a nearby hose to begin extinguishing the blaze after hearing windows shatter.
The sole occupant of the home was not injured by the fire.
The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined as investigations continue.
At the time of publication, the bottom end of Gladstone Street, adjacent to Fairydale Lane, remains closed to the public.
More to come.
