On Tuesday evening authorities confirmed a person at Dubbo West Primary School had tested positive to COVID-19. A second case has also been confirmed by the NSW government.
The lockdown will apply to anyone who has been in the Dubbo LGA on or after August 1.
Here are the reasons you can leave your home:
- to buy food or other goods and services
- to go to work, if you cannot reasonably work from home and your business is allowed to be open
- for education, if it is not possible to do it at home
- exercise and recreation if it is not possible to do so
- for medical or caring reasons, including getting a COVID-19 vaccination
- to access childcare
- to attend a funeral or memorial service

When leaving home, you must carry a face mask at all times. You must also carry your proof of address if you've left your home for a justified reason.
Businesses permitted to stay open:
- supermarkets and grocery stores including butchers, bakeries, fruit and vegetable, seafood or other food or drink retailers that predominantly sell or display food or drinks
- petrol stations
- banks and financial institutions
- hardware, building supplies
- landscaping material supplies
- agricultural and rural supplies
- shops that sell pet or office supplies
- newsagents
- chemists providing health, medical, maternity and baby supplies
- liquor stores
- post offices
- garden centres and plant nurseries
- vehicle hire premises, not including the premises at which vehicles are sold
- shops that predominantly carry out repairs of mobile phones
- laundromats and drycleaners
