The 21-year-old gave a chilling performance on Sunday, September 5 in the semi-finals for Team Keith, singing Selena Gomez's hit track, Lose You to Love Me.
Applause from the audience was sprinkled through Lau's performance, and she was met with praise after singing her final note on the show.
"That song was made for you right there on that stage for that moment," The Voice Australia judge, Rita Ora said.
"You are so artistically unique and individual. What I really love about you is that your voice always comes through, you're a real artist," The Voice Australia judge and Lau's coach, Keith Urban said.
Despite this chapter closing, Lau will continue to make waves in the music industry.
"The last few weeks have been so much fun and I'm so grateful and honoured to have joined The Voice Australia stage and share my voice with you all," Lau posted on social media.
"There's so much more to come for me."
