Police are reporting that a woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near Mudgee this morning, Monday October 4.

At around 3am, emergency services were called to Henry Lawson Drive about 8km on the south side of Gulgong, following reports a Ford Falcon sedan had left the road and hit a tree.
Police confirmed that the driver and sole occupant of the sedan, a 47-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
