For the past four years, local police have shown their support for Pink Up Mudgee by souping up one of their vehicles, and this October is no different.
Inspector Mark Fehon said doing this is just another way for local cops to continue their support for the town's events.
"Our police are involved in the community for a number of different events and this is just our little way of being able to promote Pink Up Mudgee," Inspector Fehon said.
"We know what the community does and how everybody supports this great event.
"We always get a great response from people about the car. Everybody who's around town, especially tourists, make a comment every time about the pink. They think it's great."
Each year, the vehicle is taken to a local signage business to get pinked up, and whilst it's in the shop getting a new do, Mudgee police make a contribution to the company's Pink Up efforts.
"I'm not a signage person however I believe they actually put it over the top of our original writing and numbers," Inspector Fehon said.
"At the end of the month we are usually just able to peel it off and reveal the original writing."
