ABC Open producer Alison Plasto will be at the markets in Mudgee on Easter Saturday, April 19, and will be inviting people to join her on a fun photo walk, talking about the elements that make up a good picture and snapping the colour and life of the markets.
“Take a close up of the produce or a long shot of the stall holders or festivities around the market - the choices are endless,” Ms Plasto said.
The walk ties into ABC Open’s “Snapped: Off to Market” project, which invites people to photograph their local farmer’s market, swap meet or car boot sale, and upload the images to the ABC Open website or to Instagram using the #abcopenofftomarket hashtag.
The collected images make up a chronicle of Australia’s markets at open.abc.net.au - visitors to the website can already see photos taken around the country and even around the world.
The photo walk will set out from the front of St John’s Church at 9.30am on Saturday. Anyone who wants to join a stroll and photographic expedition around the markets can contact Alison Plasto on 0477 304 485.
